The shared kitchen has new kitchenware and very convenient compared to other hotels that shared kitchen provided very old and not so clean kitchenware. It is located in remote area so it is quite peaceful and beautiful scenic view. We are happy there is very good warm pool nearby. The pool is cozy and not crowded at all.

For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. simple but completely clean studio apartment with plenty of space for two people. It was warm and had a kitchen that was perfectly adequate to cook a meal. The bathroom was modern with a generously sized shower. There were two bathrobes as well as towels. It was quiet and with parking right outside. The house is up the hill from the harbour and it was a bit cold (snow everywhere) to walk to the hot pools on the shore so we took the car, but I would estimate a 10 min walk in summer.

One important thing to keep in mind: the access road is a gravel road, so plan accordingly the car rental! 😉

The Ring Road is a 30-minute drive away from Saudafell Guesthouse. The house itself is beautiful, very cozy and authentic, the common space is spacious. The breakfast was great. We would recommend staying here.
