At the time, I was able to talk and share a lot in the warm communal space at the guest house. I was also able to meet other guests while staying. This was a really unique experience.

Upon arrival, Kai instructed us extremely well into the house and the facility. The house itself is in mint shape and offers everything for a perfect stay. It’s a very authentic house that let’s one enjoy rural Japan. We couldn’t use the outside facilities due to the weather but could well imagine how cozy the front yard would be during the summer. We will definitely come back to this beautiful retreat. Thanks again for having us!

The guest house is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. Our room was definitely idiosyncratic, with a great mixture of flea-market findings, real and almost antiques, big windows and lots of space. Public areas were also fun, continuing the comfortable, off-beat vibe. A little frayed at the edges, though very clean. Friendly staff.

Situated in Tateyama and only 1.9 km from Tateyama Forest of Wild Birds, Hillside Inn Sirocco features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. The 2-star guest house has garden views and is 1.7 km from Awa Shrine. The property is non-smoking and is located 7.5 km from Shiroyama Park. I stayed here with my son for a couple of nights and found the Hillside Inn Scirocco very charming. The Inn itself is very tidy and set in beautiful natural surroundings, which include a well tended garden and outdoor hot pool for exclusive use for guests. The sea view from the room was amazing and, along with the birdsong, lovely to wake up to. Breakfast was amazing, wholesome and freshly prepared every day. The owners are very kind although it probably helps to be able to speak Japanese. Overall, we had a great time!

The Economy double room has a futon and air conditioning and that’s it.absolutely nothing else.but it’s cheap so that is what you get for the price .For me it was ok.
