The food arrangement was a combination mostly of typical Japanese dishes with a touch of western cuisine. We stayed on New Year's Eve so we even got some special dishes on top! For drinks, there were also several home-made ones (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to choose from. The owner was extremely nice! He and his partner have a lot of international travel experience, especially in Latin America and Spain. They have very broad perspectives, so it's not a problem to stay as a foreigner even if you haven't been to Japan before. The inn of course has a natural hot spring bath, and we were able to book a time-slot to use privately. It is a remote location far away from the city, so we could enjoy some time away from the busy city and do some stargazing as well. They keep several cats which are very cute and friendly towards the guests.

The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the meals were outstanding. We really enjoyed talking with our hosts, and they treated us like special guests. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, despite some rainy weather while we were there.

All necessary amenities available. The owner was very helpful and quick to reply to messages. Unlikely I'll be in the area again but if I were, I would stay here again 100%!
