It felt like home, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Ronnie and Morag went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Even left beautiful locally-made biscuits for us. Plenty of heating in cottage with clear instructions on how to use. Large backyard area with rhubarb growing which we were invited to pick and cook. Delicious! Lovely location and outlook over a small loch with a walking track.

The chalet was bright and welcoming and very clean. It was good to be greeted by a member of staff the day after our arrival to make sure we were ok. We enjoyed the view of the Churchill barriers and Italian Chapel and being able to bird watch from the window. It is quite close to Kirkwall and we can recommend the ice-cream shop next to the cathedral! It's a good idea to book ferries for day trips to other islands before you begin your holiday as they get booked up very quickly.
