The location is beautiful, there are no other houses around, you feel like you are all alone in the middle of a jungle. In the rare moments of sunny weather it was pleasant to sit on the terrace and listen to the birds singing. There was a cleaning service during our stay which is a nice bonus. The kitchen equipment is fine, some tea, wine and fruits were prepared for us. We missed some basic ingredients as salt or pepper though.

Beautiful house, excellent equipment, the fireplace is very pleasant for rainy days. The nearest village is 1,5km from the house.

We liked everything about Quinta Meneses. Berta welcomed us very warmly even if we arrived very late at night. It was magical to arrive in her beautiful house nested in a great garden. The house was extremely clean and cosy. We wish we had stayed more and hope to be back some day! Thank you Berta!

Having lived in Portugal for a few years, I really love old fashioned Portuguese houses and furniture. This is almost a time capsule; it's like being transported back in time and yet the house is pristine, despite this the WiFi is still very good. The bedrooms and beds were very nice, and the living room was super cosy. The kitchen is very well equipped, the fire is lovely and we were left with plenty of logs, and we were also left a cake! We received an excellent welcome and would happily stay here again.

One of the best cabin homes I have ever stayed in! There is everything! Quiet neighborhood, amazing and helpful host, absolutely loved it! Although the location is more convenient if you have a car, but you can take a taxi from the airport as well as there's no direct bus connection.

The best thing is the terrace and incredible views you see from there. The area around is really quiet and serene. The amount of space you get is also a pleasant surprise. It stood out to me that this apartment had everything you need to make it comfortable for living. The kitchen was so well equipped and really practical for cooking. I appreciated that the apartment had things like hair dryer, iron, plenty of spare towels, a washing machine with several portions of detergent. The apartment comes with a garage, which was also a big plus considering how stressful street parking on such narrow and hilly roads can be. I also really appreciated how responsive and nice the owner was. He gave us several recommendations and replied whenever we had questions.
