Lis and Jason (and two dogs) were very welcoming and nothing was any trouble to them. The room was very comfortable and had everything you could need. It was a great find and hope to stay there again very soon but will make it a longer visit. The homemade brownie was a real bonus.

Located in Marske, within 40 km of Lightwater Valley Theme Park and 9 km of Richmond Castle, Marske Stables, Yorkshire Dales provides accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The property is around 20 km from Forbidden Corner, 21 km from Aysgarth Falls and 23 km from Bowes Museum. Raby Castle is 31 km away and Locomotion: The National Railway Museum is 39 km from the holiday home. Our appartment (first floor) was spacious, nicely decorated and a super nice place to return after a day out in nature to relax and to unwind. Enough daylight came in and it was bright enough as windows are a bit small. Dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer were great to have in the flat.

Christmas lights and tree were up which was a lovely touch. Essentials in the fridge and toiletries in the bathroom. Everything was prepared well with the heating and fire on! The owners even cleared the snow off the next morning. Communication was also first class.

For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. A really sweet little cottage in a beautiful village. It has been obviously been newly renovated and the best use made of the space available. Great size bathroom with walk in shower. Good size galley kitchen and a cosy living area. A double and single bedroom upstairs (be aware that in keeping with the vintage of the property the stairs are not for the faint hearted but there is a good sturdy handrail). Clean throughout and with all the usual amenities. Parking to the rear of the property. The highlight has to be the gorgeous cottage garden which is enclosed and was absolute heaven for my two dogs. The host Lee is super friendly and helpful without being intrusive. I would definitely recommend and hope to return for more that two nights next time.

Situated in York, Hartoft St - 2 bed near river is a recently renovated accommodation, 2.4 km from York Railway station and 1.9 km from York Minster. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the holiday home free of charge. The property is non-smoking and is set 35 km from Bramham Park. Hartoft St is an absolute gem of a place. Our group consisted of two adults and two kids and it was the perfect base for our trip to York. The location is ideal - 30 seconds walk to the river and a 15 minute walk into the heart of York along the river or by the main roads. Parking is available outside and we had no problem finding a space. The property itself has everything you need and we found it to be a truly welcoming and comfortable setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here.
