A easy walk from Railway station. And lovely tea hohse frontage. Owner was there to Greet and Meet. Room was large size. Traditional Japanese room. Good hot water and Fridge availabel to put food in. Easy walk to Beach. Breaky was lovely cakes placed in fridge for your convience. Would stay again.

It was an old Japanese house it was really good to experience. The owner is also very accommodating and helpful. She let us check in early and you can also leave the luggage with her for free for a couple of days.

nice interior, clean, neat with all necessary appliances for coffee, tea, cooking, laundry and very peaceful as it is a standalone unit all on your own with your group. There is a supermarket and some shops just across the street makes it very convenient to buy grocery etc but take note that it closes at 6pm

    Great host, multi lingual, went out of way to make sure we had all we needed, even took us to great little quirky restaurant near trail head. Opposite bus stop. Also has electric boot dryers (handy when walking through a typhoon lol) for use. Definitely book ahead for this one if on trail, All modern and clean. Basic Brekkie but ok. Highly Recommend.

    Beautiful property perched in the mountains near the start of the Kumano Kodo trail. Simon and his wife were great hosts providing a shuttle up to their house and then again to the start of the trail. The room was traditional and beautifully finished and we even sampled some homemade plum wine!

    Ike was a lovely host and the good cooked by him and his wife was excellent. The futons were the most comfortable of the whole two week trip.

    The host was very friendly. He shared homemade plum wine with us, which was super delicious, and he also provided us with some oranges. He also gave us route guidance and shared the bus schedule with us. What I liked most was that the host picked us up from Tanabe Station and sent us from the homestay to Takijiri the next day, so we saved the bus fare.
