I have travelled many countries, and it was at this small little inn in the middle of nowhere that left an everlasting impression. The innkeeper, Xiao Wei, is the most wonderful innkeeper in all of China. She cooks for you like you would expect growing up in an Asian household. The proximity of the place to your own secret 20km length of the Great Wall is the main selling point. In my 4 days here, I went up the wall 3 times because the wall is just in the backyard of this inn. Pretty insane! I also met lovely people while staying there. Chances are, the people that are willing to come all the way out here to Gubeijou will also be very lovely to other guests. I cannot stress how willing I am to return to this inn for a quick getaway whenever life gets tough.

Hot water at your disposal, towels, slippers, everything u need. Perfect.
