The host family, Mr Yang and his mom, did an excellent job in providing great service and food to their guests. Mr Yang helps in every well to ensure you get around comfortably, providing sound advice and getting entrance tickets ready before your visit to the Great Wall. His mom provides home-cooked meals fast and delicious. You feel well taken care of and well fed.
This place was very nice. Super comfortable and Xiǎo Wěi is a great host. Very helpful and a very good cook! Also a great place to hike up a beautiful part of the Great Wall. Really enjoyed my stay here!
Nice homestay run by the retired couple and get to have home cooked meals prepared by the wife.
Got a clean and spacious room with a good bed. The staff is kind, helpful and serviceminded. Breakfast was fantastic, had both asian and european options. The Hutongs around the hotel consist of friendly locals and the area is safe. The easiest way to find the hotel is to walk to the END of the busparking as the map shows, then turn right and walk straight to the police office and you will see the hotel on the right side behind motel 8. This way you avoid the more difficult way with a few turns through the Hutong.

Great hosts and room with all you need. Picked us up at short notice from Gubei Water town, provided breakfast in the morning and all for a great price.
It was great, the main living space was clean and welcoming, the fake astroturf alleyway was great for hanging out and exercising, the laundry was simple and effective, the bathrooms and showers were okay, Tony was a great host and always helpful.
Good location with a great host. Mark was so friendly and helped us with everything we needed. Able to purchase drinks there which was helpful. Breakfast was good and the rooms were very clean. It was quiet even though the rooms look onto the courtyard.
