The homestead is in a great location on the back waters and Arun organised a canoe to pick us up directly outside. There was a lovely veranda to sit out. We had good home cooked Keralan food.

The room is clean and spacious with good lighting. Clean bathroom. It is situated right in the middle of a canal and paddy fields. The breakfast was great, Kerala style. Good masala chai too! They even helped organise a canoe trip for me and gave some really good tips on exploring around. It's a short walk away to the backwaters which are perfect during sunset! In nice, small, quiet streets about 200m from the centre, well away from being hassled by auto drivers and restaurant owners. Beautiful singing from the local church on Sunday mornings. Unlike the centre, you can see and hear a lot of birds. The hosts are brilliant, communicating well and quickly on WhatsApp. They arranged to have our washing done, they even negotiated a lower price for us.
