Richar’s home - experience Amantani with my family ligger i Amantani och erbjuder boende med utsikt över sjön samt en trädgård, en terrass och en restaurang. I absolutely loved ,my stay with Richar, Lucrezia and their daughter Isabel. They made me feel so at home. I loved my very clean room with a spectacular view of the lake from a few windows! Also there is a balcony to hang out and lake/star gaze. IT is incredibly peaceful there. The food was delicious, home made and very healthy. I loved eating with the family. My spanish is not very good but I was able to communicate well with them and Richar taught me some important Quechua words and I learned a lot about their community. Richar also showed me around his garden and he explained what crops he is growing. I met his chickens, guinea pigs and sheep. Their daughter was a fantastic guide and took me to the beach and we walked up Apu Pachamama together which was very special. It was a very memorable experience and I will definitely come back! One thing is that the village is on the other side of the Island from where you come in by boat. I rode on the back of a motorcycle for 20 minutes to get there! It was a thrill and a beautiful way to see more of the island!

Loved staying with them and sharing some of the most delicious meals I’ve ever had with them!! Highly recommend eating at their place!!! Very sociable and caring, highly recommend!!
