The couple who own and live here are so welcoming and genuinely kind. A lovely family. The decor is adorable vintage country Pool looked beautiful but sadly we didn’t have time to use it. Nice touches like outdoor lighting. Nearby restaurant was delicious

I found my room and the shared bathroom sparkling clean. The location is very convenient: right in the city centre but very quiet, 5min walk from the train station and 15min walk up to the famous castle. The hostel offered a complimentary continental breakfast. The staff was very, very friendly and helpful. Will come back to this charming hostel!

Best lockers I've ever seen, where I could even store my small trolley AND daypack. Breakfast was also great. Best hostel I ever had so far in Portugal. Many thanks to the great team!

Excellent choice of restaurants in town, we didn't have evening meal at hotel on this occasion as we knew of a lovely italian restaurant in the town. Hand sanitizer everywhere, very clean public areas, room very clean. Good Covid precautions in place for buffet breakfast. Plenty of safe off road parking.
