Landing Pads Brunswick in Melbourne provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. Landing Pads really stood by its name as it was my go-to hostel and helped me to settle into life in Melbourne. I first stayed here when I first moved to Melbourne (back during Guilly's time, the GOAT), extending for a month, and then in-between share houses. The people and volunteers are lovely, and it's definitely sociable enough for you to either be an extrovert drinking in the garden or an introvert (me) watching the telly in the living room together. Plenty of social events and the weekly family dinner, so you'll never go bored! Also it's right by Sydney Road - so many great places and shops around. I met so many people who only intended to stay for a while ending up staying for a long time, shows how special the hostel is to them

Flinders Backpackers is conveniently set in the centre of Melbourne, and provides a bar and free WiFi. Very clean and good atmosphere. I'll recommend it

Located in the heart of St Kilda, just a few minutes' walk from the beach, a range of restaurants and shops. Tram stops are located at the door step, so you can conveniently get to and from the CBD. Friendly staff got upgraded to a private room with bathroom. Good facilities good location Great air con in the room

Space Hotel features a rooftop terrace, fully equipped fitness centre and a private cinema room. Some rooms have a private bathroom, and flat-screen TV. The location is amazing, within easy walking distance of RMIT and close to trams to anywhere in Melbourne! This is possibly the cleanest 'backpackers' I've stayed in. Room was clean, shared bathroom too! White linens, fresh white towel included. Really a comfortable stay after 30 hours of travel over three flights! Fresh apples and bananas at reception were a nice touch! Staff were super friendly, my bags were lost by the airline and they were so helpful in making sure everyting happened as best it could!

Featuring a bar, Summer House Melbourne is located in Melbourne in the Victoria region, less than 1 km from St Kilda Beach and 4.6 km from Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. Got a rooftop solo room that was phenomenal, what a view!. Really what I needed after the Dodgers got absolutely flogged by the Blue Jays in Game 1. To beat the champ ya gotta knock 'em out though.

Very good hostel. Location is amazing - walkable to most places in the center. Staff was really nice! We stayed in a private room, perfectly sized and convenient. Kitchen gets crowded which is normal, but everyone is respectful :)
