To provide a more unique piece of comment, when I arrived late, tired and outside of incheck hours, I found the bedsheets presented neatly inside-out. In case we are not familiair with how to make up a bed the easiest way, take the sheets inside-out and shake like crazy. I was tired and I was positively speechless (if I was talking). Never made a bed up so easily in my life, for real. On a more personal experience, Matt really gave me the “Swiss” feeling that other, more touristy places, failed me to provide. I felt comfortable and like at home in the area, but then in Switzerland. I will definitely come back here, to climb the mountain across Matt. I did not have the time for it sadly. Also, ja, Florian, cool dude. The reviews about the host does him right. (Also you get free public transport btw, in the Kanton)

Staff was very friendly and the beds were awesome ! Also the location is walkable from the train station. Christmas market was just on the way to the train station. It was great.

Cross-country skiing, hiking and cycling routes are all within 60 metres from the Youth Hostel. The hostel is located in an indescribably beautiful place. The service is very good, the environment both inside and outside exceeds all expectations. I recommend it.

This is an absolutely fabulous hostel for bike- and backpackers IMHO. Granted, it's fairly new by the looks of it, but nevertheless. It's beautifully located just outside Disentis centre, the facilities are second to none, COOP on the premises, secure bike storage, bike wash, the rooms with staggered beds, an excellent restaurant on the premises, the breakfast puts some hotels to shame, ... You simply cannot go wrong with the Catrina Hostel as far as I am concerned. I'll be back!
