To provide a more unique piece of comment, when I arrived late, tired and outside of incheck hours, I found the bedsheets presented neatly inside-out. In case we are not familiair with how to make up a bed the easiest way, take the sheets inside-out and shake like crazy. I was tired and I was positively speechless (if I was talking). Never made a bed up so easily in my life, for real. On a more personal experience, Matt really gave me the “Swiss” feeling that other, more touristy places, failed me to provide. I felt comfortable and like at home in the area, but then in Switzerland. I will definitely come back here, to climb the mountain across Matt. I did not have the time for it sadly. Also, ja, Florian, cool dude. The reviews about the host does him right. (Also you get free public transport btw, in the Kanton)

The hostel offers a buffet or continental breakfast. At Berghaus Diavolezza you will find a restaurant serving Italian, local and European cuisine. Vegetarian, dairy-free and vegan options can also be requested. Thanks to Dimitrii who was a perfect host and to the whole team. You are wonderful and you have created a beautiful atmosphere. The attention to details, the kindness of the employees, everything is extraordinary.

The accommodation features a shared kitchen, a business centre and organising tours for guests. On a rail trip from UK thro France Italy and returning via Switzerland this topped our list of our favourite places that we stayed at overnight. 2 things helped, the novelty ex prison conversion and the beautiful old city of Chur. It is a hostel and it gives you the option of eating food that you want (to eat after a week of eating out) in the communal kitchen. The conversion has been to a high standard and the architect has followed a good sustainable approach. We thought it was scrupulously clean and comfortable. The room size was adequate but if you were staying for more than 3 nights you may want more space. Coming here you have already accepted the 'hostel' ethos but you can use it as a room only hotel if you want. Clean, comfortable, quirky and well designed.

Situated at the edge of the forest, the hostel is a good base to go skiing in the Upper Engadin ski region. Cross-country skiing, hiking and cycling routes are all within 60 metres from the Youth Hostel. The place is very good located. Easy to reach by taking the bus from the train station, but you can walk as well and enjoy the alps view. The staff is very friendly.

The Hotel Bernina Hospiz is located at 2309 metres altitude on the Bernina pass and has a terrace with glacier views, a cosy Italian restaurant and offers free internet.

From June to November, the Hotel Bernina Hospiz can easily be reached by the legendary Berninaexpress train from Chur, Celerina and St. Moritz. Cars can be parked free of charge on site or against surcharge at the hotel's garage. Very very nice location. The snow on the path was packed by a snow mobile so walkable. Not really recommended though if you are carrying luggage. They can also arrange for you to be picked up at the next train station. The one that is closest to the hotel is a 600m walk, but uphill and with snow was a bit challenging. (I'm telling myself I was so out of breath because of the altitude) The hotel has a rustic charm, the staff was nice. The radiator didn't get too warm, they should maybe bleed the radiators and let the air out. When I came to the restaurant for dinner & breakfast they sort of directed me upon entry to a solo table. I found that a bit too strict, it took away the possibility of joining a table or other people to share a meal with in this very shareable environment. Woke up in the middle of the night to gaze on the moonlit mountains. It was wonderful!

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, the non-smoking hostel features an indoor pool. Best hostel I’ve been so far. Outstanding cleanliness. The spa is top notch. The room size is perfect. Beds are comfortable. Staff is helpful and cordial.

Situated in Rueun, 13 km from Freestyle Academy - Indoor Base, L'ANGOLO DEI SAPORI features accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. Located around 16 km from Lake Cauma, the hostel with free WiFi is also 46 km away from Viamala Canyon. Guests can enjoy mountain views. Staff were extremely welcoming and kind, always keen to do make our stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was really good.

Set in Disentis, 39 km from Freestyle Academy - Indoor Base, Catrina Hostel offers accommodation with a shared lounge, private parking, a restaurant and a bar. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom. The property is non-smoking and is situated 42 km from Lake Cauma. This is an absolutely fabulous hostel for bike- and backpackers IMHO. Granted, it's fairly new by the looks of it, but nevertheless. It's beautifully located just outside Disentis centre, the facilities are second to none, COOP on the premises, secure bike storage, bike wash, the rooms with staggered beds, an excellent restaurant on the premises, the breakfast puts some hotels to shame, ... You simply cannot go wrong with the Catrina Hostel as far as I am concerned. I'll be back!

Located in Trin, Jugendherberge Trin features a shared lounge, terrace, restaurant, and free WiFi throughout the property. 42 km from Salginatobel Bridge and 10 km from Lake Cauma, the hostel provides ski storage space. Guests can have a drink at the snack bar. Nice and clean hostel, good location, pleasure personal. We was happy to stay there.
