Sankt Helene was original build in 1991 and used as a "vandrehjem" and a school camp center.

Today the Sankt Helene Foundation runs the place and it is driven by the purpose of helping vulnerable children and families. Every year we offer different NGO's sponsored holidays for children and their families in need - sponsored by us. Our staff is reflected in our vision of helping people in need. That is why some of the great people working at Sankt Helene, doesnt speak the language that well or has a long life experience in the hotel business. Set in Frederiksværk, Frederiksværk Camping & Hostel has barbecue facilities. With free WiFi, this 3-star hostel has a garden and a terrace. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen, a tour desk and luggage storage for guests. We spent one night in a cozy cabin on a lovely campsite while passing through. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Perfect for a relaxing break on our journey.

This hostel is located by the Store Dyrehave forest, 3 km from Hillerød centre and train station. It offers sports facilities, a big nice garden, guest TV lounges and a communal kitchen.

All guest rooms at Danhostel Hillerød have private bathroom facilities. Each guest room has a work desk and a seating area. Guests can rent bed linen and towels at the hostel or choose to bring their own. Breakfast can be ordered. If desired please inform us 24 hours in advance efter own. We were a bit surprised to find that bed linen rental is common in Denmark, but since we were traveling by car, we had brought our own bed linen and towels. Considering that Denmark is indeed a very expensive country — our Christmas trip to London for seven days actually turned out cheaper — we try to save on things like bed linen, towels, and other similar expenses whenever possible. In any case, this was the best, cleanest, and most affordable option in terms of price. Everything was clean, the surroundings were tidy. The kids loved it! A very nice basement with table hockey, a fully equipped kitchen for cooking, table tennis, a volleyball net outside — everything was perfect!
