The place is really nice and there is a kitchen on the rooftop which is a real must. We felt very good in our room which was very clean, well decorated and spacious. Every morning, we had hot water and biscuits on the table in front of our door. Finally, the location is exactly what we needed : near cafes and restaurants, perfect after a long day of visits. I recommend !

Bed comfortable, great airconditioning in dorm rooms, hot showers, clean. Quiet spot with treed yard, hammocks, and small pool (lovely in to chill, but too shallow to really swim or tread water). Dorms are only four beds to a room, so pretty quiet and spacious. Curtain, reading light, power outlet, and tiny shelf in each bunk. Lockers are available (fit medium-large bag), and are conveniently outside the rooms (so more quiet). Staff are very kind and very helpful with logistics questions. Appreciated the water refill (to avoid plastic disposables). Vegetarian pancakes and fruit available for breakfast. Walking distance from lots of great restaurants, the cool/hip Jl. Prawirotaman street, and Alun-Alun Kidul.

Sleepy Raccoon Hostel is such a very lovely place to stay in Jogja! The hostel is clean, cozy, and feels like home. The staff are super friendly and helpful, even for late check-ins. The beds are comfortable, the atmosphere is relaxed, and it’s easy to meet other travelers. Great location and excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

Ideal for backpackers as the staff is very friendly and helpful, and there is a sense of comfort. We had a small room with no AC, and the toilets/shower is shared. So, a simple place mostly for young travellers. It is ideally located nearby Prawirotaran street, which is one of the most interesting for young travelers, and still quiet enough.

The rooms and common areas are always spotless and comfortable. What makes this place special is the amazing staff , they’re so kind and welcoming, it feels like staying with friends. I definitely recommend this hostel if you want a clean, nice place with friendly people. Highly recommended!

I’ve been staying at Abrakadabra for a week and am planning to stay more. As a female solo traveler, I’ve felt like it’s my own place, having privacy and security. The host is very kind and speaks good English. He served good breakfast at the requested time and helped me book affordable tours in Jogja. The place is cozy, clean, and very close to the city center with lots of good restaurants and places to visit around. There’s a beautiful rooftop surrounded by plants which is great for having a coffee and chilling out. I could also use the kitchen to cook for myself. If you’re lucky, you’ll encounter other guests to hang out with :)
