Zen Moon is one of those places that stays in your memory long after you leave. The house itself is charming and full of character, with a small, peaceful garden with turtles and golden fishes. The room is small but simply magical. The bed, covered with a delicate mosquito net and soft batik sheets, made me feel like a princess every night. But the real highlight is the bathroom. It’s a pure zen oasis, open to the sky, surrounded by greenery, and so beautifully designed that taking a shower feels like bathing in the jungle. The location couldn’t be better, just a few steps from some of the nicest restaurants and cafés in the neighborhood. If you’re coming to Yogyakarta, don’t think twice; Zen Moon is a little paradise you’ll be grateful to have found.

I stayed about 3 months in this hostel, and I was so sad to leave because i felt at home. Mok is a super host. He makes you feel really comfortable, and whatever you need, he gonna help you, he is really kind and helpful. I had my birthday in their hostel, and Moak made me feel really special, he take care of each guest as I had never seen, the value doesn't have any comparatiion with the price that you pay. The hostel has a beautiful and big garden with mango trees, chilli, eggplant, and avocado, and it has even a basketball basket. In this garden, I spent I lot of time in the morning. It's a good place to do yoga and journalism or meditation. Inside, he has a big area to chill, play games, play guitar (yes, he has a guitar!) or just for work in the computer, and for the cooking lovers,, he has a really big kitchen with all the tools that you need. The beds are really comfy, and of course, he has AC. He has chickens and a cat, Aban, Mok's son. This is a beautiful place to stay. You don't need to think about it, it's the best hostel that I have ever been, and now it's my second home.

The rooms and common areas are always spotless and comfortable. What makes this place special is the amazing staff , they’re so kind and welcoming, it feels like staying with friends. I definitely recommend this hostel if you want a clean, nice place with friendly people. Highly recommended!

I’ve been staying at Abrakadabra for a week and am planning to stay more. As a female solo traveler, I’ve felt like it’s my own place, having privacy and security. The host is very kind and speaks good English. He served good breakfast at the requested time and helped me book affordable tours in Jogja. The place is cozy, clean, and very close to the city center with lots of good restaurants and places to visit around. There’s a beautiful rooftop surrounded by plants which is great for having a coffee and chilling out. I could also use the kitchen to cook for myself. If you’re lucky, you’ll encounter other guests to hang out with :)

We loved our stay at Huma. The staff is incredibly welcoming and always ready to offer directions and suggestions. The location is central, close to the Kraton and Tamansari, at the same time away from the chaos. The room was beautiful and very clean. We especially enjoyed the private outdoor bathroom. The common areas were very pleasant and useful. Coffee, tea, and water were always available. We’re grateful for the wonderful memories.
