Húsey Hostel & Horsefarm features accommodation 55 km from Egilsstadir. The hostel has family rooms. At the hostel the rooms include a shared bathroom with a shower. Amazing secluded location. Best views and best host. Must do the horse riding, the horses were lovely and the host took great care of us. I wish I was staying here for longer.

Located in Seydisfjördur village, this hostel offers a rooms with a seating area, fjord views and free Wi-Fi. Seydisfjördur Swimming Pool is just 30 metres away. Parking is free at the hotel. I was concerned about it being a Hostel, but my concerns were completely unfounded. We had a room with a private bathroom it was right near the kitchen. The kitchen was clean & had plenty of room for multiple people to cook. Had a private space for our room for non-parishables. & a big refrigerator with some share items that was nice. The fan & lights over the stove were confusing but I pushed enough buttons & finally got the light & fan over my station to come one.

Located in Djúpivogur village, this hostel offers rooms with free WiFi. The rooms are located in a separate house, while there is a shared kitchen in the main building. The hostel is very well equipped. The staff is very accommodating; we arrived after the check-in time had ended but because we called earlier the staff stayed behind to greet us and give us the key with instructions. The rooms are good and the beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are very clean.

This isn’t something I usually notice but the hostel was very well structured. The layout was very convenient and comfortable (showers were separated nicely with lots of space, lots of space for luggage in the rooms and under the bed, head space on top bunks etc) and there were outlets and usb ports in each bunk. The entire building had such a comfortable, welcoming vibe, not to mention it was very aesthetic and had an incredible view of the mountains and ocean. Nicely designed with a funky color palette and lots of decor. It was a 14 minute walk to the town centre but it had guides, maps, board games, and books all in the hostel. The kitchen was clean and had all the utilities organized and sanitized nicely. Staff were incredibly kind and accommodating and even helped me set up a ride to the airport. Wish I could have stayed longer!
