We were 4 friends, had our own room with private bathroom and shower. Additionally, we were allowed to use the common showers and toilets of the floor, which were always empty even though the hostel was at around 70% of its capacity. Everything was brand new and made of very good quality, which is kind of weird to find in hostels. It was super clean. There was plenty of space in the room for four people. Staff was very friendly and willing to help with local tips and useful information about Trieste

Set in Trieste and within 500 metres of Piazza dell'Unita d'Italia, ControVento features a bar, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. First and foremost the staff are excellent, very welcoming. The hostel itself is in a gorgeous building wonderfully located in the heart of the city. The included breakfast was a nice touch as well. I look forward to coming back one day :)
