I only stayed in Shaq bighouse overnight since there is no late transport in Kanazawa and I stay at a university dormitory. It was so affordable to stay overnight (at 2400 Yen) compared to taking a taxi. I also REALLY appreciate that he accommodated my late check-in request (near midnight) because of my late travel. I didn't really get a chance to experience the other facilities, but the bed was really nice and warm (this was already November). I hope to come back someday for an extended period of time and experience the restaurant downstairs!

Taka is really helpful we had only one night stay and he was kind enough to let us keep our luggage all day long until evening after checkout. Excellent location 5 to 10 min walk from the train station! Highly recommended!

I loved everything about the place. It was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The surroundings are stunning, and it's very easy to go for a hike in nature. The staff is kind and helpful, always with a smile on their faces. Bear in mind that the stay is a bit remote, so it's hard to get there and move around the area if you don't have your own vehicle. Nevertheless, they will offer to pick you up and drop you off at the station, while also providing you with a bicycle once you get there. To me, this only added to the experience. There's a cafe where you can have something to eat from 10 am to 6 pm. Even though the food offering is limited, it is really tasty.

Situated in Hakusan, 42 km from Kanazawa Castle, Guesthouse UNILA features accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming. The guesthouse has a nostalgic flare, lots of wood, great atmosphere. We had ordered a veggie dinner and breakfast, and all was home made and good. We arrived after dark and after hours of rain on our motorbikes, and the hosts let us dry our gear in the main room which is much appreciated. // Our host also told us about the mountain road ahead which is forbidden for motorcycles. We were gutted but very happy he told us so we could plan our next day accordingly. // I would certainly stay again!
