K's house hostels have been exceptionally incredible through my travels in Japan. This one being the best I've had the pleasure of staying in. The cleanliness is equivalent to some of the fanciest hotels out there, I can't overstate how comfy the common areas and rooms are. The onsen is great, although not very large. I picked the cheapest room option, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a massive room with wall sized view right into the forest, comfortable bunk beds with excellent ventilation.

Situated within 38 km of Nikko Station and 38 km of Tobu Nikko Station, Guesthouse Kincha 駅東口 features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Utsunomiya. I have stayed in many guesthouses before, and this is one of the shared houses I like the most. It is very clean and comfortable. The common space is also cozy. It is very close to Utsunomiya Station and just a 2-minute walk to the best gyoza restaurant in Utsunomiya. The host is very nice. If I visit Utsunomiya again, I will definitely stay at this guesthouse. Highly recommended!

Beautiful lodge in a beautiful area in Japan. The owner was so accommodating and made our stay extra special. He gave great recommendations for restaurants, day trips as well as the coolest onsen. This place is a gem out of the touristy areas and we will definitely return. Good breakfast and great coffee that can be enjoyed in a very spacious common area downstairs. Facilities are great and very clean.

Attractively set in the Nakano district of Tokyo, GrapeHouse Koenji is situated 500 metres from Keimei Park, less than 1 km from Yamato Park and a 8-minute walk from Mabashi Park. The stay was wonderful! The rooms and bathroom space were really clean. There were a lot of small things which made the hostel stay really nice. I will stay here again.
