Location was great, just 8/9 minutes from the train station. I loved the onsen in the accommodation and the breakfast was quite nice as well.

Nestled a 15-minute up-hill walk or a 4-minute bus ride away from Hakone Yumoto Station, Onsen Hostel K's House Hakone offers free WiFi throughout the entire property and an open-air hot-spring bath.

Tatami room was fantastic, with great views of the mountains and the town, very spacious and clean. Hostel was cute, very well equipped, with many facilities. Staff was very helpful and polite. The onsen was fantastic, very relaxing. Tattoo friendly as well. Do use bus or taxi if you're carrying luggage, otherwise it's a perfectly fine walking distance from the town. Perfect stay!

Just loved this place. Very cozy and squeaky clean. Well designed, doesn't feel like a hostel. Tokyo Skytree and Sensoji Temple just few stops away, also close to Asakusa's vibrant market street and many must do restaurants and adresses. I will definitely come back and highly recommend. Special mention to the special treatment I got to be booked on their new 6th floor room not yet open to accommodate my stay which I had to move one day earlier, even though they were fully booked. And kudos to the sweet girl that helped me check in and cure my jetlag in the room past check out time.

I loved the homely atmosphere of the lodge, the warmth, the incredible views, the magical snowfall everyday. The common area had everything we needed including extra blankets, books, games, a keyboard…and we had access to water, tea and coffee. The communal fridge made it easy to store snacks, and there is a microwave which was incredibly helpful for me as I chose to eat dinner at the lodge. The convenience store down the road has a variety of food and snacks, and plenty of vegan options! The breakfast was amazing each day. Tim was able to make me vegan waffles and muffins everyday morning which was amazing as Tokyo was challenging to find good vegan food. The coffee was barista brewed, and it was second to none. I was so impressed, I had to have two coffees every morning. Craig (owner) was the main superstar this whole trip. He went above and beyond to answer all my questions, provide advice on what to do where to go, and did all the station pickups and drop offs anytime I needed to go out for the day. As it was a spontaneous trip I didn’t have appropriate footwear or extra jackets and gloves. However the lodge was able to provide all these for me to have a comfortable stay. I even built a snowman ⛄️ I will definitely be coming back sooner rather than later! Thank you Craig, and team!
