Great hotel, very well located if you have a car and want to visit the Aso region. The owner is super nice and helpful, and his wife’s restaurant is so yummy ! I recommend !

The staff are extremely welcoming us and friendly. although there is no elevator in the hotel but staff was so kind to carry our luggage! not to mention the welcome drink and mochi! Room declaration is superb and it fits so well with the history of the building

This is one of the most charming, cleanest, safest, and friendliest backpacking hostels I've ever stayed at. The staff was so helpful and obliging. The beds were clean and the storage secure. I stayed here on a whim after forgetting to plan one night's stay, and I'm so glad I did! I would visit again.

Set in Tamana, 20 km from Hirayama Hot Spring, HIKE offers air-conditioned accommodation and a shared lounge. Staying at this rebuilt hospital was a highlight of our journey. The atmosphere, materials, and lighting is very beautiful. We got very warmly welcomed and it was a pleasure to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner at the main floor restaurant. We definitely recommend it to spend some calm relaxing days! They also provide bicycles to discover the beautiful nature around or drive to a nearby onsen place or to the sea.
