Staff were also very kind and accommodating (they helped me store my bicycle overnight)!

I wholeheartedly recommend the Mashuko youth hostel, the owner and his family do all the best to make your stay as comfortable as possible! They have vast knowledge about Asan park and it's neighbourhood, plus are very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for hiking and if you want enjoy the wildlife - I saw a fox and deers a couple of times. It's ideal location to visit Mashu lake and climb the Mashu mount, however if you want to visit the other lakes: Kussharo and Akan I recommend renting a car or a mountain bike. Still I really enjoyed staying here and thinking about coming back here in future. Arigato gozaimasu!

Perfect for our family with two kids who adore loft beds. The location was superb for a beautiful summer retreat. The owner was a wonderful chef so we advise taking the very affordable and delicious meal options. Would definitely stay again!
