A great place to stay with a very welcoming family. Emi was so kind and willing to help! Also, it was really close to the beach (5 min by bike) and you could rent surfboards and the bikes were free to use. Would highly recommend to stay here if you're in Aoshima!

It's a refurbished old inn done in a very tasteful way. It was like being a guest in a Japanese house. We loved being tucked away on a quiet street in Kumamoto with such friendly and welcoming staff. We had a great time staying over and enjoyed the Sake tasting and conversation with the lovely hostess Natsumi who recommended us places to eat and have coffee. Next time we need to stay over more than 1 night!

The hosts were very nice and friendly, and the homemade breakfast was very good! I liked the hot kabosu lemonade. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

The facilities where all so clean!! The kitchen was amazing, the rooms and beds super comfortable. we just booked it for one night and we were very sad to leave.

Conveniently situated in the Yufuin Onsen district of Yufu, Yufuin Country Road Youth Hostel is located 49 km from Crasus Dome Oita, 2 km from Kinrinko Lake and 27 km from Beppu Station. People and food, the facility I really enjoy the place. I love the location also. On the way to the house, I could feel Yufuin. People were really nice and kind. The food is also so good. Every meal was different so that I could experience various Japanese dish. The bed condition is also very comfortable and cozy, clean. I would come back soon.

Shiori-san is the kindest, most helpful host. She showed us around Fukutsu in a personal way that made us feel better about traveling during the holidays, because we never felt far from home around her. The rooms and common area are exceedingly clean, comfortable, and cozy -- you won't want to leave!
