Rancho Tranquillo se află pe malul mării în Moyogalpa, la 34 km de Vulcanul Maderas, și pune la dispoziție diverse facilități, printre care o grădină și o terasă. I had the best time with Tony and Daniela, they were very kind, welcoming and warm. They make you feel part of their family and have so many stories to tell. Daniela makes THE BEST breakfasts (I miss them). If I go back to Ometepe I'm definitely staying with them again. The room was nice and clean and at night you can hear a symphony of crickets and other elements of nature due to being away from the city. A really nice experience. Also, there's a beach right outside the hostel where you can see the most beautiful sunsets. It's a bit far from the center of the town (a 20 min walk) which is not too bad, just something to take into consideration. If you're renting a bike like most people do it's not going to make a difference for you, but I was on foot. Fortunately, Tony was very kind and picked me up on a motorbike at the port and took me back at the end of my stay.

It's very clean, I like the decoration, there is a Kitchen, an area to chill, the gardens are nice. Luis the guy from the reception are super friendly. I highly recommend....

Hostel Life is Good is a little slice of paradise on Ometepe. Roman and Barbera, and their sweet animals, have created a perfect place to enjoy, have a drink, and enjoy. As the name implies, Life is Good, and they do a great job of showing that through their care of the hostel, the guests, and the overall vibe of the place.

Lovely place to stay. Highly recommend. Rooms clean and well equipped. Family run hostel and they were very welcoming and helpful. Small restaurant on site with really good food and coffee for a good price. Central location and only 10 min walk from the port.

Hostal Casa Moreno se află în Moyogalpa și are o piscină în aer liber, o grădină, un lounge comun și o terasă. Acest hostel de 3 stele oferă un bar. Nice old classic hotel with a pool ! What's not to love. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Raindance se află pe malul mării în Santa Cruz, la 19 minute de mers pe jos de Plaja Santo Domingo, și oferă diverse facilități, printre care o piscină în aer liber, o grădină și un bar. The friendly staff, the bar atmosphere and the good food. I also love the pod beds with privacy curtains and they actually provide a USBC cable in the beds which was helpful because I left my charger in the last hostel I stay in!

Rainbow Caravan Hostel se găsește în Las Pilas, la 17 km de Vulcanul Maderas, și are o grădină, un lounge comun, un bar și parcare privată gratuită. The place was very clean and tidy, tranquil, and no noise at night which is rare in Nicaragua because there's always someone making some noise. The food was quality, homemade vegan goodness. Making a fire was cool and it has all the modern amenities like a fridge and cooking equipment so you can bring beer. Didn't have any bugs unlike some of the other hostels i stayed in on Ometepe. It's quite a good location equidistance between the two towns and near the start of Volcan Concepción. I recommend renting an ATV rather than a scooter at the port and picking it up in Ometepe, don't trust the people on the San Jorge side. The hostel also offers scooter rental although I picked mine up at port. Very photogenic hostel and peaceful.

It’s a bit aside from the port city Moyogalpa, so it’s very calm and almost no cars and people here, but still easy to reach by foot from the Centre (15 min walk). It has breakfast included and it’s home cooked food by the family. My room was very spacious, with 1 double and 1 single bed. They had outlets outside and inside, so i could work online here. Ask for both WiFi passwords! The host family was very nice and always tried to help, like when I needed a dentist they found a number. They don’t speak English (as most locals here) but with my broken Spanish and google translate we always understood each other. You can also ask them about the laundry option. Thanks for hosting me!

B&B, family run homestay, Hospedaje La Penita se află în Altagracia, la 16 km de Vulcanul Maderas, și oferă o grădină, un lounge comun, o terasă și parcare privată gratuită. Learned this was one of the original hostels on Ometepe. Breakfasts and dinners were freshly prepared with local ingredients. Their dogs and cats were very nice to spend time with. The hosts can lease scooters and deliver them for competitive prices. Communication with host prior to and during stay was excellent.
