PJs Hostel has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Groningen. Located around 1 km from Simplon Music Venue, the hostel with free WiFi is also 300 metres away from Martini Tower. One of the best hostels I've stayed in yet! You get exactly what you see in the pictures. I arrived pretty late in the night but had no problem checking in. The room was spacious even with many beds clustered in one room so no feeling of claustrophobia. There was a small locker for each bed that could fit my small cabin luggage. You have to make your own beds and towels are provided for each day you stay in. The bed was soooo amazing I had one of the best sleep yet, maybe because the mattress seem to be of really good quality! You wake up feeling like you're in a hotel room. The only downside to the beds is that you can hear your neighbouring beds pretty easily especially if they talk, but that didn't bother me much and normally people stayed quiet to respect others. The toilets and showers were clean, and I especially liked the design of the sinks. Very pretty. The location is very strategic too, around a 15 minutes walk from Groningen Central Station and 5 minutes walk from the centre. You have the Jumbo grocery store that's super near, and you've got thrifts shops etc around you. I did not have to use any types of transport like buses because everything was so accessible. Definitely recommend!

Bud Gett offers rooms with free Wi-Fi only 500 metres from the Grote Markt in Groningen. This budget hostel includes Mondrian-inspired décor, a 24-hour reception plus luggage and bicycle storage. The private double room was great, private bathroom small but overall excellent for the price. Comfortable beds, bedding, pillows. Great location. No issues with sound either.

Situated in Scheemda, Hostel Herberg de Esborg Scheemda has a shared lounge, terrace, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. Tasty and sufficient breakfast. Very happy with my stay at this hotel and I will stay again. Their dog is also delightful.
