Was absolutely incredible Stayed as a solo traveller who has stayed at a LOT of hostels and this by far was one of the nicest ones. Very laid back vibe and all the staff were so lovely. It's a mixed use hotel with small rooms, the dorm rooms and villas so you will see a variety of guests from young families and young travellers. The outdoor spaces such as the terrace, pool and beachside area are fantastic. The area is really nice, on the edge of Lamai beach its a very easy walk or scooter into the main areas of Lamai beach and a 20 minute scooter to Chaweng or fisherman's village

El Samui Backpacker Hotel está situado en Bangrak, a 1 minuto a pie de un muelle que comunica con Ko Phangan y las famosas fiestas de la luna llena. The hostel was always clean, the facilities such as the pool and pool table were great and as a solo traveller it was nice to be able to meet people. The hostel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They helped me to arrange a private taxi to the pier for me the day I was leaving. The owners were extremely helpful as they were getting concerned the traffic in the area would make the taxi too late and I would miss my ferry. They took me in their family car and we were able to meet the taxi along the way. I presume this also meant they had to sit in the traffic on the way back to the hostel! I was extremely thankful for the way they looked out for me.
