Old City Guest House

Situated in Sukhothai, 600 metres from Sukhothai Historical Park, Old City Guest House features accommodation with a shared lounge and free private parking. The hostel also provides free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. The guest house is just a very short walk from the historic park and the weekend night market. The room was very spacious, and the bathroom designed so that the shower water was contained and didn't make the entire floor wet. A refrigerator was a nice touch. And there was coffee, toast and cookies in the morning -- not exactly breakfast but something to hold you over until you can walk to one of the many nearby restaurants.

The rooms in the hostel are air conditioned and fitted with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, DVD player, a kettle, a computer and a CD player. All units at Baan Mae Somkid Homestay are fitted with a shared bathroom and bed linen. It's a super cozy place and the hosts are very attentive. The place was always very clean and pleasant. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Great location for the national park and local restaurants and shops. Breakfast was great with a hot main course with toast and fruit available too. We were able to rent bicycles free of charge during our stay which we would 100% recommend using as it makes it much easier to explore the park. You can rent bikes at the park for a fee. After our day exploring, we were able to have a shower before getting our long bus to Chiang Mai which was amazing.

I enjoyed a lot my relaxing day in this hostel. I rent a bike as well at the hostel to go to visit the Sukhothai historical park. Everyting was clean and the staff was super friendly!

great location! not along the main busy road, so it was nice and peaceful, but still close enough to the park that I could cycle easily. there are free bicycles which make it easy to get around at all times of the day! the staff are very helpful and communication is no problem.

Staff were super friendly! Was given a map of local area upon arrival which was a nice touch. Great value for money. Basic backpacker hostel, no complaints! Big fridge to store food items if necessary, free water and toilet paper provided, lots of plug sockets in room - aircon and shower worked well and English Channel available on tv. Little bar on site selling drinks and very good vibe!

The hostel it's very cheap and situated right across the bus station, which is perfect if you arrive very early/late. The reception is open 24 hours and the staff is very nice and helpful. There is a common area where to have coffees/ bfast or snacks and a rooftop with hammocks to relax on. They also offer bycycles and motorbikes.

Nice and welcoming team, fair price for a room with balcony that was comfy and clean, the pool area was pretty, clean and the water as well. Team is always there if you need anything, they even gave me a special cream because i got an allergic reaction to an insect bite. as a solo traveller its important to feel safe with the hotels/hostel team.
