We are Reini and Marlene, both born and raised in Pinzgau, and we established Steinbock Lodges ten years ago. With our long-standing, experienced in-house cleaning team, we take care of all the chalets and apartments individually. Our goal each day is to ensure that the guests of our owners have a warm feeling of satisfaction and that they really enjoy their stay.
Why Steinbock Lodges?
All our apartments and chalets are fully equipped. The beds are always made up with freshly laundered and ironed bed linen and the fl uff y towels are ready and waiting on the bed to put a smile on your face when you enter. Free Wi-Fi goes without saying, which is also the case for basic equipment in the kitchen (e.g. salt, pepper, vinegar and cooking oil) and for cleaning (e.g. washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets,
bin liners, tea towels, mop, all-purpose cloths and sponge). You might be pleased to know that all our kitchens contain a Nespresso machine and for those who prefer the classic method, there are also fi lter coff ee machines – the choice is yours!

Leisure activities:
The chalet is ideal for all kinds of sports enthusiasts, hikers or those who love life. Just a few minutes away, the AreitXpress will take you up to the Schmittenhöhe, a skiing and hiking area with a unique alpine view and wonderful miles of pistes suitable for both beginners and full-blooded professionals alike. The little dragon “Schmidolin” is waiting to meet your little adventurers in the children’s paradise on Schmittenhöhe. The Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area is also within easy reach – here you can indulge yourself in the pleasures of skiing almost all year round! The viewing platform “Top of Salzburg” (3,029 m above sea level) with a photo point is particularly recommended and is accessible all year round by cable car.
Fancy some relaxation in the spa? Spa lovers will be delighted with the Tauern Spa in Kaprun, only five kilometres from the Steinbock Hohe Tauern Chalet.
In summer, hiking trails, cross-country skiing tracks, lakes, cycling paths and golf courses will all tempt you to explore and enjoy the beautiful area in and around Zell am See and Kaprun to the full. When it comes to shopping, why not head to the nearby shopping centre or to the centre of Zell am See? It’s very easy to reach with a gentle stroll on a pleasant path along Lake Zell.
We can’t forget about Grossglockner, can we? Grossglockner is Austria’s highest mountain with a wonderful high alpine panorama road in summer, where you can spot the very cute marmots scampering around if you are lucky! Or the Krimml Waterfalls and the magnificent Mozart city of Salzburg with all its sights – there is much to keep you busy with fun and amazement throughout our region.
Still not enough?
Okay, how about the world-famous Hallstatt with the oldest salt mine in the world – and it is not that far from Zell am See! As you can see, our region really does have more than a lot to offer – something for everyone regardless of age!
