1000 Reasons is a private and luxurious homestay in the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria, just 45mins East of Melbourne City. Check-in anytime after 3pm and late check-out at 11am for all guest bookings. The cottage is luxuriously furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bedroom 2 can be made into 2 single beds or as 1 king bed. Bedroom 1 has a queen size bed as standard. 1000 Reasons B&B has its own private full kitchen, luxurious bathroom, large private deck and large picnic grounds for your exclusive enjoyment. Breakfast provisions are provided for your first morning with us which consists of delicious sourdough, eggs, butter, milk, jams and spreads, tea and coffee. If you have any allergies or require vegan options then please let us know upon booking. In addition you can order breakfast hampers, romantic baskets, champaign for special occassions, freshly roasted coffee and much more. Please download the detailed map that is shown within the pictures outlining the layout of the property. Parking onsite is provided for upto 3 cars with 1 secure lockup garage for your use. Wifi and Netflix is free. Phone signal in the hills can be a little hit and miss depending on what provider you use, so while you are here use "WIFI Calling" in your phone settings for best phone reception. Outdoors there is a BBQ, large picnic table, outdoor furniture and hammock for your enjoyment. We can also set up your own outdoor cinema experience. While we accept and encourage wedding parties, there are extra T&Cs and a security bond pertaining to these types of bookings. Please contact your host to discuss. I am Julie Culley your host. I am so pleased to welcome you to my new project here in Australia, “1000 Reasons”. I have just returned home to Australia after working in Europe for many years in the tourism sector, I owned and operated a very successful small boutique hotel in Malta, known as Julesy’s BnB. I really missed that business when I returned to Australia, so we set about to find another wonderful holiday project to offer our guests. The Dandenong Ranges certainly fit the bill with some of the most stunning Australian scenery, hiking, picturesque gardens and prolific wildlife in Victoria. I invite you to come and breathe in the fresh mountain air, relax and get back to nature. There really are 1000 Reasons why you deserve a lovely break.

There are many quality restaurants, cafes and takaway options within a very short drive. Please ask us to send you a detailed PDF to your email with our recommendations. Feeling energetic? The famous “1000 Steps” and the Dandenong Ranges National Park is just meters from our door, it is a challenging walk of about 7-8km depending on which track you choose. You can download detailed maps from the Parks Victoria website. Animals and birds you can expect to see are Lyrebirds, Wallabies, possums, tawny frogmouth owls, rosella's, silver crested cockatoos, black cockatoos, kookaburras, land crayfish, echindnas, wombats and perhaps deer while exploring. At nighttime many possums roam the area. Within the area there are many gardens to explore within a short drive. My favourites are Sherbrook Falls, George Tindall Gardens, Alfred Nicholls Gardens, William Ricketts Sanctuary, Dandenong Ranges Botanic Gardens, Cloudhill Gardens and Nursery, Blue Lotus Water Gardens, Warrantina Lavender Farm and in around 35 minutes you can be in the Yarra Valley wine region.
