Straddie Sales and Rentals is a holiday rental agency based in Amity Point off the coast from Brisbane on North Stradbroke Island in Queensland. It is owned and operated by sisters Karen and Annie who grew up on Straddie and have intimate knowledge of what this breath-taking island has to offer. The agency specialises in managing a variety of holiday properties to suit every budget, from small original fishing shacks to premium waterfront houses. While most of these holiday homes are located in the township of Amity Point, SSR have a small number of villas and houses for rent at Point Lookout and are looking to grow that market.... so watch this space!

Located on Sovereign Road with uninterrupted bush view, ‘Amity Beach Bungalow’ is the perfect spot to relax, unwind and watch the local wildlife wander by. Keep calm and be a beach bum, with the whole family in tow! This two bedroom, single bathroom property sleeps a maximum 5 guests and is only partly screened. You may recognise this Amity gem from previous years gone by with new owner The Joneses, having long term ties to Stradbroke Is. This split level property has a large lounge area complete with built in bar, WIFI and wall mounted TV. The lounge area is only partly screened with shutter window coverings and has pedestal fans available. Leading off the lounge the contemporary kitchen offers ample storage space with servery into the lounge area, electric appliances and dining space. The main bedroom has a queen bed and fold out ottoman (which concertinas easily to a single bed), and sliding door leading to the courtyard. The second bedroom has two single beds, small TV for DVD playing only and with a large bay window looking out into the tropical garden; both bedrooms have ceiling fans and air-conditioning for guests' comfort. A single day bed is located within the lounge area for an additional person. The bathroom has a combined shower/bath and single toilet with the laundry being located outside offering storage and a top loader washing machine. Amity Beach Bungalow is all about outdoor living with two alfresco seating areas to enjoy a BBQ or watch the kids play. The property is also fully fenced and pets are welcome. Adjoining the rear of the house is a separate unit with independent access which is privately rented with a separately fenced yard. Fresh linen is supplied and beds will be made, ready for your arrival.

North Stradbroke Island (known as Minjerribah to our traditional owners) is the second largest sand island in the world and boasts some of the best beaches in Queensland. Summer temperatures average at 29°C during the day with winter bringing an average top of 21°C. Located 30 kilometres southeast of Brisbane, Straddie is 38 kilometres in length and 11 kilometres at its widest point and covers an area of 275.2km2. Along the eastern shoreline of the island you will find soft, white sands and kilometres of rolling surf. The western side of the island faces Moreton Bay and offers calm bay waters and pristine beaches, ideal for families of young children, boating enthusiasts and those pursuing water sports without the waves.
