Nestled up on a hill, our stylishly renovated cottage provides panoramic views of surrounding vineyards and the rolling hills of McLaren Vale. Secluded and private, it is a little piece of paradise where you can completely relax and feel the everyday stresses of life melt away. A downstairs cellar stocked with our wine, local produce to enjoy and a stunning location means you'll never want to leave. The finest linen and plush towels along with a fully equipped kitchen and stocked pantry allows you to enjoy the comforts of home while on holiday. Included in your stay are locally sourced provisions for breakfast each morning and stocked prior to arrival. The Welcome Basket includes a bottle of our award winning wine, local cheese, olives, crackers, chocolates and more, and gets your stay off to a great start. Complimentary soaps, bubble bath and body products go perfectly with the spa bath. Two bathrooms ensure no waiting. For year round comfort there is ducted reverse cycle air conditioning and the combustion wood burner in the lounge room creates a cosy, relaxing ambience during the colder months. Wine lovers can enjoy private winemaker- led tastings in our cellar door and the picturesque vineyard views go perfectly with a glass or two of wine.
Our 100 acre property includes Shiraz and Grenache vineyards, grazing pastures and natural bushland. Located just 40 minutes south of Adelaide in the stunning McLaren Vale wine region with numerous award winning wineries and restaurants close by. As one of the parcels of land given to returned soldiers following World War 1, our property is a piece of local history. This luxury self-contained accommodation features its original charm with modern amenities and is the perfect getaway retreat. With options to walk through the nearby Onkaparinga River National Park or sit outside in our beautiful garden, this is the ideal space to reconnect with nature, savour the views and relish the serenity. Whether you're a couple or group of adults looking to get away, this cottage offers the perfect place to unwind, take in the picturesque rural views and enjoy it's seclusion and charm. The property is less than 5 minutes’ drive to a handful of wineries and cellar doors. It is next to the Onkaparinga River National Park and several walking trails are easily accessible. McLaren Vale is less than 10 minutes away and gateway to award winning wineries and the Fleurieu Peninsula with its stunning coastline and cliffs, endless unspoiled beaches with golden sand and sparkling, clear waters. There are over 80 cellar doors in the McLaren Vale district and more than one third of them offer local produce as part of the tasting experience - from high-end, starred restaurants to casual platters - there is a wine and food combination to suit any taste. The historic township of Willunga is only 15 minutes away and each Saturday morning the Willunga Farmers Market is held where more than 80 farmers and artisan food producers from the region sell their fresh produce. It's well worth getting up for. The Shiraz Trail is a shared path for walkers and cyclists and links McLaren Vale to Willunga. It is well signed in McLaren Vale and easily accessible with few crossings.
