The grounds are beautiful with lots of birds. The bed was comfortable. The hot shower with plenty of pressure was appreciated.its also a short drive to the Cradle Mountain Visitor Center. This accommodation is in a quiet area and a new cafe/takeaway has opened nearby.

Isolated (which we knew when booking) and therefore very peaceful, but still an easy drive (albeit rather winding at times) to local attractions (eg Cradle Mountain and King Solomon’s Cave - the latter is a must do). Take your food as there’s a well equipped kitchen (no oven) or, on the way back from the Wandering Trout Taphouse at Mole Creek (excellent food and craft beer/wines), detour to Sheffield and get a takeaway from the splendid Chinese restaurant. Cottage is well laid out. Good bathroom with double spa (despite being on tank/bore water). Lovely views through the windows and on the deck. Comfortable bed. Good sized living area. The included cook-your-own breakfast of bacon, eggs, tomatoes, bread, cereals, spreads was lovely. All up a great place to stay.

The apartment was clean, comfortable, spacious, cozy, and quiet. It had a wood burning stove (wood supplied). The location was about a 25-minute drive to Cradle Mountain National Park, where there is plenty of hiking and scenery. We had a full-size kitchen (full-size refrigerator, etc.), so we prepared our own meals, since there is no restaurant nearby. The lodging supplied breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, milk, butter, jam, and milk. We bought our own juice and fruit. The closest restaurant is at Cradle Mountain Hotel at the park, but we didn't want to drive after dark, so we bought our groceries in Sheffield (half hour drive) before arriving to the lodging. If you want to have an early meal or lunch, there is a cafe at the visitor's center in the park (open to 4/5 PM) and the restaurant at Cradle Mountain Hotel.

This cottage was extremely well appointed and extremely clean. It had a huge spa bath, which was appreciated after a long days hiking. This is an ideal location to visit the Cradle Mountain area (approx. 25 km) without the huge price tag being asked by accommodation closer to Cradle Mountain. The cottage is set up for self-catering with a large fridge. There is information in the cottage about where to do go, should you wish to dine out.
