Fig Tree Retro Studio is an old stable that has been converted into a fully furnished retro-style studio on a 6-acre property in Cudgera Creek, near Pottsville NSW. The studio is private and self-contained with a kitchenette containing pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, a toaster, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and a lovely 1940's oven in working condition. There is also a refrigerator and a class laminate table and chairs. The bathroom in the Fig Tree Retro Studio is quite spacious and has a rain shower head as well as comfy bathrobes and slippers. There is a TV with inbuilt DVD player, and a spacious deck to relax and watch the alpacas grazing. A dedicated parking area is provided. For your convenience, linen, including towels, sheets and duvets are provided. Fig Tree Retro Studio is 5 minutes' drive from Pottsville Beach, 10 minutes' drive from BluesFest and 25 minutes' drive from both Byron Bay and Gold Coast Airport. It is 35 minutes' drive from Wollumbin and Mt. Warning and 90 minutes' drive from Brisbane.

This 7-acre property near Pottsville Beach, NSW is surrounded by nature and lush greenery. It is the perfect central base to explore the Northern Rivers area, as its located halfway between the idyllic Byron Bay and the trendy Gold Coast. The area has a lot of offer, including two breweries – Red Earth Brewery at Cudgen, and Stone & Wood Brewery at Byron Bay; plus a great selection of Australian spirits at Husk Distilleries in North Tumbulgum; cheeky cabaret show at the Brunswick Picture House; and to cap it off, a lunch and wine feast at PiPiT, one of Pottsville’s newest eatery -- there is something to tickle everyone’s fancy. We are also just 15 min from the BluesFest site, 25 min from Byron Bay, 25 min from Gold Coast Airport, 35 min from Wollumbin/Mt. Warning, and 90 min from Brisbane with easy access off the Pacific Highway (M1). The studio is rustic and eco-friendly and is more suited to a couple or two friends who would enjoy the retro ambiance.
Denise and Glenn are the owners of the Fig Tree Retro Studio. Denise is an avid fan of independent films from all over the world and enjoy Zumba and meeting new people. Glenn has lived in the Byron Shire region for most of his life and he has a wealth of knowledge about the area. He has a passion for surfing and enjoys all things Kombi! We love the studio because it is surrounded by nature and is set on acres of lush greenery, evoking a sense of peacefulness and tranquillity -- to hear the birds chirping in the morning and to see the trees blowing in the wind -- is beautiful to the eyes and ears!
Pottsville is a hidden gem on the Tweed Coast of New South Wales with Byron Bay, Coolangatta and world heritage rainforest so close by. It's that great combination of rural and coastal but with city life so accessible. There are a bounty of restaurants in Pottsville including Indian, Thai, Chinese, Fish and Chip, 2 local bakeries as well as Mexican (Mis Amigos ) and Japanese (Izakaya Potts), IGA, Chemist, News-Agency, and cafes. Equally good eateries in nearby Cabarita Beach and Kingscliff. Pottsville Beach is 9 minutes away.
