Location was great, a few minute's walk to Information Centre, IGA, local Pub and a cafe right at our doorstep. Parking right on site. Prompt and good information from owners. Beds were comfortable and great seating options.

    “It was easy to find ,central to everything, clean,comfy everything you need was provided Nothing to do with house at all but most eating places were closed or kitchens closed at 1.30 so take your food and use the brilliant kitchen in the house.”

Gallery House is a stylishly renovated house in the centre of the picturesque village of Dwellingup. The recent refurbishment offers a modern and clean interior while still retaining the charming period features of the building, art deco leadlight windows, ceiling roses and cornices. There are 3 bedrooms, a king sizxer with ensuite, a queen size and a room with two singles. Gallery House is an easy stroll from shops, pub and cafes, hiking and bike trails and the Hotham Valley tourist railway. The house is nestled behind the Lost Eden Creative art gallery. The gallery garden area is home to Street Eats @ Lost Eden, a remodeled, charming timber horse float serving up tasty and healthy vegetarian and vegan style street food. Open on weekends, the gallery and cafe add an atmosphere of relaxed and country contemporary vibrancy.
Peter and Monique Tippett have been Dwellingup locals for the last 20 years. Peter works for the local Parks and Wildlife service and Monique is a professional and respected contemporary artist. They live on a rural property 5 minutes east of town and are available to help with any enquiries or issues you may have. They opened the adjoining Lost Eden Creative gallery and garden cafe in 2019, showing the work of emerging and established West Australian contemporay artists in a program of 4 week long group and solo exhibitions.
Dwellingup is a cute little town in the jarrah forest of southwest Western Australia. It is a popular destination for many outdoor activities, surrounded by hiking and biking trails, and only 9km from Lane Poole Reserve, a protected area of wilderness that includes the Murray River, ideal for swimming, picnics and a gentle canoe trip or a more exhilirating kayak adventure further downstream when winter rains bring the white water. In town you will find shops and cafes, the historic Dwellingup Hotel and the Hotham Valley tourist railway. Major works are just beginning to transform Dwellingup into a mountain biking mecca with the construction of a trails centre and 80km of new mountain bike trails. If you just want to relax and enjoy being closer to nature then Dwellingup has it all and you will have Gallery House as your base to do as little or as much as you like.
