Beautiful setting, beautiful hospitality, lovely dining room where we enjoyed a great breakfast. Beautiful grounds despite some recent storm damage. Just a short drive outside Yass, Ning our host contacted us in advance with very helpful directions. I mentioned an anniversary to our hosts, and Rob found us a complimentary bottle of French Champaign to celebrate!

Merryville is one of Australia's best known pastoral properties made famous world wide by the late Sir Walter Merriman. The original part of the homestead was built in 1903 and in the mid 1930's the East and West wings were added. We offer an opportunity to experience rural living when wool was king. Enjoy the history of the homestead and the farm and the peace and tranquility of an old country garden. THE BEDROOMS: We offer the two guest bedrooms in our historic bluestone homestead located next to the magnificent old billiard room/library. The deluxe queen room accomodate 2 persons and plenty of space for a portable cot/crib if needed. The second bedroom also has a queen bed that can accomodate two extra guests for additional costs. Please check the hotel policies for more details. BATHROOM: The two guest bedrooms are located on the West wing of the homestead and it is a shared bathroom. (NOTE: We only take bookings of the same group per night and the bathroom will be only shared by your extra guests that are staying in the second bedroom.)
MEALS: Free continental breakfast is included with your accomodation. It is located in the dining room. Tea/coffee facilities, toaster and a refrigerator are also located in the dining room. We have high chair for the little people too. We can can provide a full cooked breakfast if requested. For lunch or dinner we can suggests places in Murrumbateman village or in Yass. GUESTS SPACES: LOUNGE & DINING ROOM: Enjoy the warmth of the open fire place in the lounge and dining area. There’s plenty of books for you to borrow and enjoy. Why not read in front by the fire place or enjoy playing boardgames with your family and friends. Or perhaps a glass or two of wines with your love ones by the fireplace. There is also a keyboard in the lounge area if you would like to play it and fill the homestead with music. BILLIARD ROOM: We have a full size snooker table and we encourage you to have a play and have fun with your family and friends. But please supervised the little children. Thanks. FRONT VERANDAH: Enjoy the view while you are seeping your coffee or tea. Or a quiet time just reading your book!
THE GARDENS, LAKE & SURROUND: The lovely extensive garden and farm are available for walks, native birds and farm livestock. By arrangement we can show you around the farm and the wool shed. We have a large lake within walking distance of the homestead, there are kayaks available for your use and a pontoon anchored in the middle of the lake. EVENTS VENUE: We are also offering now our garden for venue hire for any events or weddings. Please hop on to our website for more details. Thank you. YASS VALLEY DISTRICT: Our district is renowned as the Wool, wine and waterways area - "cool climate wine country" which includes numerous restaurants, wine tasting, truffiers, water activities at Burrinjuck dam etc. Our gourmet food and wine activities are legendary. TRANSPORTATION: We are rurally located so transport is essential. Car rentals, taxi's are readily available. We can also assist if requested. INVITATION: We invite guests to feel the magnificence and rural joy of times past by feeling at home on our farm.
