We loved everything about this hidden gem that lives up to its name Sanctuary. It was a lovely relaxing retreat after travelling all day. The room was so cosy and comfy. Everything needed was provided. The outdoor area was very spacious and yet very private. Would certainly stay again.

The Sanctuary Stanthorpe - 65 acres of perfect!! We offer 3 accommodation options, catering for between 2 & 16 people in one or two timber cabins and American Barn. We supply pillows, donna/doona covers, you just bring your sheets and towels. Cabins are self-catering (with full kitchens with all you need). The property is hidden away in 65 acres of beautiful, totally private and peaceful natural bushland on Qld's Granite Belt 12 minutes from Stanthorpe and right in the middle of so much to see and do. Perfect for romantic getaways, family escapes and larger group catchups. The property is a mix of open parklands, bush & rocky outcrops. The granite rock formations rocks are great to climb (for kids and kids at heart) with some reaching over 10m high. The property has many hiking tracks (BYO push bikes), dams and open paddock areas (ideal for a family cricket match and picnics). Set over 950 meters above sea level (100 meters higher than Stanthorpe) & as such enjoys the best of cold winter weather (including snow) as well as the gentle cooling summer breezes, & low humidity. Stanthorpe's shops, hotels, great restaurants & fabulous wineries are less than 15 minutes away.
Accommodation Options Possum’s Hollow, & Hooters Hut are gorgeous two bedroom wooden cabins. Each cabin offers spacious comfortable accommodation for up to seven people. The cabins are fully self-contained and located 2 minutes’ walk from each other. The cabins are great for kids or couples. Each cabin has a full kitchen, an indoor wood burning fire & lots of room to relax. At Possums, one bedroom has a queen bed, & a single the other two king singles. The lounge has a comfortable sofa bed for any extras. Hooter’s Hut has a queen bed in each of the 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed. Both cabins open onto a long verandah with a BBQ and places to relax, and each cabin steps down to their own fire pit area. Eagles Rock is an open plan rustic American Barn perfect for couples or small families. It has a queen bed & 2 folding beds, a kitchen, seperate bathroom & indoor & outdoor wood fires. Relax & watch the possums, kangaroos & Koalas. BYO bikes and explore on site walking & cycle tracks Sitting by the fire with a glass of wine is a must. Sit around the campfire & enjoy spectacular night skies. (Wood provided).
Private and peaceful, the Sanctuary Stanthorpe is the perfect spot for nature loving enthusiasts and those who just need some space to escape, relax and recharge. Close to everything but you'd think you were a million miles from anywhere.
