Kenilworth Cottage is a two bedroom self contained cottage. Located away from the highway it offers a quiet retreat off the tourist track. A relaxing space for families, couples and business travellers. The cottage is only 1hr from Longreach, with off-street parking and air-conditioning. We can accommodate caravans and motorhomes if required. Located on the grounds of the former historic Kenilworth Nursing Home which operated on this site in 1923 before Barcaldine's first hospital opened in 1924. The cottage is open planned, featuring polished timber floors, high ceilings and french doors, original art, eclectic furnishings and a modern bathroom. The cottage has two bedrooms (Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and Bedroom 2 offers two singles) as well as a fold-down sofa bed, making it possible to accommodate up to 6 people. Great kitchenette with a benchtop induction cooker, bar fridge, kettle, toaster, cooking utensils and essentials such as tea, coffee, oil and condiments. This is one of two dwellings on our large corner block - the cottage is linked to the main house by an adjoining deck.
We love living in Barcaldine- it is such a warm and welcoming community. Tony and I look forward to sharing with you why we love living here.

Make Kenilworth Cottage Barcaldine,your base for many comfortable day trips out from Barcaldine - visit Qantas Founders Museum, Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame, Lara Wetlands, Blackall Wool Scour, Lake Dunn Sculpture Trail, Australian Workers Heritage Centre etc. Retreat from the well worn tourist track and make this your home away from home.
