Lions Camp Kanga is located close to Lake Proserpine 13 mi from Proserpine in North Queensland, Australia and is an approximate 45 minute drive from Airlie Beach, Shute Harbor and the Whitsunday Islands. Lake Proserpine activities include, barramundi fishing, water skiing and canoeing. Camp facilities include a large commercial kitchen, BBQ Area, meeting hall, accommodations rooms with wheelchair access, indoor and outdoor recreation facilities. The on-site mangers, are available at all times.

Jimmy & Cathy Swan are experienced on-site park managers who will warmly welcome all guests. They can assist you with their knowledge of the area. The park has 32 new cabins with air-conditioning and fridges and large powered sites with water, situated in a lovely setting near Crystal Brook Creek. They park has 2 BBQ areas , 3 blocks of amenities, 56 cabins (some without air-cons nor fridges and 27 powered sites. On-site catering is available to groups and schools. Property info

Camp Kanga is a Lions International Q2 Project offering budget accommodation. There is no linen provided. Please BYO pillows, sheets and blanket or the like (sleeping bag). It is set in a scenic and tranquil rural location offering peace & quiet only minutes away from the Lake Proserpine and Crystal Brook. At your campsite or at your cabin you are welcome to sit and enjoy life, join in at small communal campfire and watch the native wildlife. Pets are welcome, on leash! Many attractions in the Whitsunday Region are within 20 to 40 minutes' drives. As the name suggests, we are a CAMP that provides basic facilities, so BYO bedding and cooking facilities to avoid queues! At present we only have a small kitchenette with microwave, kettle, toaster and frying pan. BYO utensils, pots and pans etc too! Call us or go to our website for more information.

Camp Kanga is an ideal location near the Proserpine Lake (Peter Faust Dam) to fish for the giant barramundi, go for bush walks or just relax in a tranquil bush location nearby Crystal Creek. Many low-cost domestic airlines are now using the Whitsundays Airport to bring in visitors to the lovely Whitsundays Region which includes the Whitsunday Islands, Proserpine, Airlie Beach, Conway Beach, Cannonvale, Bowen, Mackay and many beach villages being Dingo Beach and Hideaway Bay are amongst the many that lie along the coastline. There are no shortage of shops, cafes, takeaways and restaurants to chose from. Fishing, boating and hiking will occupy our visitors, too!
