I booked a bed in a 8-bed dormitory, with AC. The dormitory is wide and large enough, so you do not feel packed at all. The bed is a bunk bed, large enough, with a fair enough good mattress. For this dorm (and the entire hostel), you have access to 3 full bathrooms (shower, toilet, sink). All were clean. You also have access to a fully equipped kitchen. The common space is nice. The WiFi is good. Located in the town center. 150m away from the main beach. 5km away from Wongaling Beach where ther are Greyhound / Premier Motor Service bus stop, Woolworths A private company is operating a shuttle service from/to Wongaling Beach, 5aud/way at defined schedule. The staff (Ste) is nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for a short or a long stay.

Nice little hostel, quiet homely and the staff where friendly and helpful. The hostel is pretty clean however Its pretty dated and grubby in places so the staff did their best to make it look nice. However perfectly fine for a few nights stay. Beds where comfy and our room had the bathroom attached which was great and the price is good.

The female only dorm was very large and felt spacious even with 8 bunks. The aircon kept the room cool and there was plenty of storage space and surfaces for your things, including bedside tables. There also seemed to be plenty of plug sockets, fitted halfway up the walls so top bunks could also access them. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots and pans. It was always very clean. There seemed to be a group of people living at the hostel long-term and working in Mission Beach. This created a friendly atmosphere. The location was perfect, so close to the beach, bars, restaurants and shops. The parking was excellent; there was a spacious private car park at the back of the hostel free to use. There is a weekly(?) shuttle bus to the large supermarket for those without a car and there seemed to be regularly planned social events too.

I arrived late for checkin but gave the hostel a ring before. The manager was super helpful and left my room key with an explanation in an envelope at the reception. The communal area was nice all over.
