The Point BnB is not your typical B&B. Our guests have their own entrance leading upstairs to private apartment style accommodation in our award winning home. Once upstairs the first thing you notice is the large round picture window that looks out over the Lake. If you can take yourself away from the vista you then continue passed the deluxe bedroom, and private bathroom to a spacious well appointed sitting room and self contained kitchenette where breakfast provisions are supplied. Open the French doors onto the balcony and take in the stunning Lake views. A perfect place to sit and just relax.
We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful setting and there isn't a day that we don't appreciate our surroundings, whether it is the calmness of the Lake, the sea eagles flying overhead, or someone bare foot watersking. The view is something we never tire of with the change of the seasons and weather. ( The sunsets are simply stunning! ) We enjoy boating, walks, great friends, good food and wine and also meeting our guests.
We offer a seating area on the front lawn with fabulous Lake views and direct walking access to the Lake beach and walking track. This path takes you along the Lake to the Paynesville Village, a gentle 20 minute stroll away. Here you can choose from delightful Restaurants and Cafes. We also have supermarkets and assorted shops. Take a Ferry ride to Raymond Island to see the Koalas and other native wildlife. If you are lucky you might spot some of our local Dolphins just cruising by, and it is well worth a cruise to the 90 mile beach. If you are adventurous we can suggest day trips, so you can soak up the local atmosphere. Visit Lakes Entrance and Metung also on the Gippsland Lakes or drive on the Great Alpine Road to Bruthen or onto the Buchan Caves.
