This was our second stay here and my second review, with a few others elsewhere, inbetween. 2 The Shores has a hard to find, 180 degree north-facing water view with everything one could want included and more, including welcome gifts of chocolates and sparkling wine. Service so far about others in the area, even more expensive ones! I couldn't recommend higher, the apartment, service, attention to detail and assistance in making the stay comfortable. All 5 star! The dolphins and pelican don't hurt, either :)

Relax with the whole family, or get excited having fun in the water! Enjoying almost 180-degree north-facing water views, a picturesque outlook as well as privacy and serenity, right at home. On entry, you will fall in love with the magnificent water views only few are lucky enough to enjoy. The open-plan kitchen, living and dining leads seamlessly to the expansive front balcony where you will spend your days gazing and watching the world go by on the water. The unit is on the second story of the building but is one level down from the street level. Take the brick pathway downward towards the ocean / pool and turn left to the front door. The unit is fully self-contained, in a non smoking complex and allows a maximum of 6 guests). 2 bathrooms and a shared pool (non heated). All three-bedrooms are generous in size, with built in robes, ceiling fans with air-con in main and third bedroom. The master bedroom also enjoys a walk-in robe and ensuite. We recommend parking by the side street as there are plenty of space and very close by. There is a double lock up garage (under the building) and a level walk to the unit entry. The key fob to the garage will be in the unit for you and please leave it in the unit when you check out. For larger vehicles, there is an undercover visitor parking area (subject to availability) and our unit (Unit 2) is down (1) flight of stairs. For your entertainment, we’ve provided a selection of games/books and for those more adventurous, a small kayak and a 2+1/2 seat kayak are in the garage - please note that we only have 3 life jackets as a curtesy, and you must make sure to wear proper sized life jackets (either use ours or your own), and you are solely response for the safety. Any paddlers must observe the boating rules of navigation, carrying of safety equipment, alcohol and drugs etc. We also have Free Wi-Fi. To make your stay as comfortable as possible, we have included all Linen & Towels in our accommodation pricing.
We settled in Port Stephens in 2017 and we never get tired or bored here. We love riding our mountain bikes on fire trails and bike paths. We enjoy swim, kayak or simply play at various beaches such as Roywood Reserve, George Reserve, Zenith, Shoal Bay, Fingal Bay, the list goes on. Not to mention horse riding at the Sahara Trails, or Camel riding at Birubi beach, or climbing the Tomaree mountain for that spectacular view at the top. Sometimes we would ride the bike to the Nelson Bay fish market, buy some fresh oyster, watch the opportunist pelicans at the dock, then ride home for a treat. There is just so much on offer for all age groups that you will have no trouble filling in your days. We also enjoy the vast selection of the local restaurants, shops, art galleries, and spent many hours watching the whales by boat or off Boat Harbour headland. In fact, you will often see dolphins directly out front within the unit during high tide and there is an abundance of bird life around too. We love travel around Australia and the world. Often when you live in a BnB you could see the host put in a lot of thoughts trying to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We would like to try to provide that with our unit. We hope you will enjoy Port Stephens as much as we do.
Soldiers Point is home to many great cafés, restaurants and shops, all within easy walking distance or short drive from our accommodation. Soldiers Point Bowling Club and Bannisters (which houses the Rick Stein and Cheeky Dog restaurants) are both just 400m away. It is a level walk along the roadway and great to leave the car behind, so you can totally relax and enjoy a well earned beverage. Soldiers Point Marina is reachable by a 20 minutes to half an hour walk. There are quite some sculptures on display at the marina. 'The Point Restaurant' is at the upper level. You will need to drive and make a reservation, but the food is wonderful and the view outstanding. If you prefer something less formal, The Deck Waterfront Cafe and Bar is downstairs which offers wonderful Greek style cuisine also a take-away menu that includes Pizza. Wanda Beach shops are 1.7km away and you will find more restaurants & food options here, along with a small supermarket. Among them there is Sunan Thai which is one of our favourite restaurant. The Salamander Bay Shopping Centre is just 6.0km drive and has Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, Kmart and many other shops. McDonalds is outside on the main road and KFC nearby.
