The stay at Walnut Tree Cottages was perfect. The cottage was very clean and well decorated. The property was a beautiful walnut tree farm with a dog and a river to swim in. The property is just outside Myrtleford and the rail trail!

The self-contained cottages is the ideal holiday to either escape the busy modern lifestyle allowing families or couples who are looking to endure regions such as, The Milawa Gourmet region, Alpine Valley, The historical towns of Glenrowan and Beechworth or king Valley and Rutherglen, famous for their strong traditional love of grape growing background. You have a choice between using one of the many amazing bike tracks we have to offer, venture the local vineyards, fruit and nut orchards, or be entertained by the local events and festivals. “Walnut Tree Cottages “is located in the heart of North East Victoria, Whorouly. Experience this region’s local produce by sampling fine wines, cheese, olives, mustards, honey, walnuts, local grown fruit, vegetables and berries. Our newest cafe gives us the opportunity to try her homemade pastries, pies, cookies, and a selection of cooked breakfast, and other local produce, may be purchased within “Whorouly café”. We are close to some of the oldest and most diverse wine regions in Australia, including Rutherglen, Glenrowan, and the King Valley and Alpine Valley. Historic townships, interesting galleries, nurseries and museums are dotted around the hills and picturesque valley of the region. The area is home to the legends of Ned Kelly, Mad Dog Morgan and the Man from Snowy River. Walnut Tree Cottages is framed by the mountains of the High Country, a playground for Skiers, fresh water fisherman, bush walkers, nature lovers, adventure seekers and extreme sports lovers.
