Easy walk down to the Normanville jetty and had a lovely, beautifully presented brunch at the kiosk on Margy’s recommendation. The homestead is also walking distance to the Normanville town centre, close to shops, cafes and restaurants although we were provided with lovely, generous provisions for a cooked breakfast. Great to come back and relax in the outdoor spa.

Yankalilla Bay Homestead is close to the most serene beaches and fabulous restaurants. You'll love the Homestead, it has a peaceful, majestic ambiance with high ceilings and wide 'old-world' verandahs. It is perfectly located between the township (5 minutes walk) and the beach (2 minutes walk). It has two beautifully equipped, 4-star, luxury suites, both are private and separate. There are free WiFi towers in town and there is high speed WiFi in both suites. Summers are great due to the closeness to the beach from where the sea breeze cools the land with the evening gully breezes off the land, rarely do we have a hot night but just encase you also have A/C in each suite. In the winter the 600 mm thick stone walls seem to ooze out the warmth luckily each suite has ducted heating and fire places with ambiance, there are external gas heaters under the verandahs. Fabulous for that chilly night outside having a barbecue. We value our many native birds and put in an effort to see they have access to their favorite plants, the blue wrens are an absolute delight. The homestead provides free, high speed, NBN Wifi.
Marg and Ken Hutt have owned and operated B & B's for many years. They fell in love with Yankalilla Bay Homestead and purchased it 30 years ago. When their children left home they decided to tastefully renovate this gracious, early Australian Homestead and share its history and gracious with you.
The Homestead is an original 1840s early Australian Homestead on 1/4 acre of lovely gardens. You'll be amazed at how quiet, peaceful and private this beautiful renovated homestead is. Some visitors return to the Homestead to just read or study in peace and quiet. The bird life is fabulous and kangaroos still roam the adjoining properties. A short walk to beautiful Normanville beach is good for your soul and you may even get a glimpse of the local dolphin population. Ýankalilla Bay Homestead is a convenient stop on the way to and from Kangaroo Island. Only 45 minutes to Cape Jervis and the Sealink Ferry, which will take you to Kangaroo Island. McLaren Vale wine district is only 30 minutes drive north and deep creek conservation park is 30 minutes drive away and a beautiful place for bush walking. The charming Raywood Nursery is also at Deep Creek, 30 minutes drive South. Victor Harbor is 30 minutes drive from Normanville with beautiful bush scenery all the way.
