My husband, son, and I immigrated to Canada from China in 2005 and have been living and working in Calgary ever since. When we have free time, we enjoy traveling around the world and exploring new places. During the summer of 2021, we visited Campbell River and fell in love with the area. The stunning natural beauty, welcoming community, and endless outdoor activities captured our hearts, and we decided to make Campbell River our new home. In the fall of 2021, we relocated our family to this beautiful coastal town and have been enjoying everything it has to offer ever since.
As new residents of Campbell River, we are excited to share our love for this area with others and welcome guests to our home. We are thrilled to have you stay with us and hope you will feel comfortable and at ease during your visit. As your host, we want to ensure that your trip is enjoyable and memorable, and we are always available to answer any questions you may have. Hosting guests is something we truly enjoy. We love meeting people from different parts of the world and learning about their cultures and backgrounds. It is a joy for us to share our home and provide a welcoming space for travelers to relax and unwind.
In our free time, we enjoy exploring the local area and trying new restaurants and cafes. We are outdoor enthusiasts, whether it's hiking, cycling, or simply enjoying a picnic in the park. We are always happy to provide recommendations for things to do and see in the area, and we hope that your stay with us will be both comfortable and enjoyable.
Thank you for considering our home for your stay, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you soon!
Known as the salmon fishing capital of the world, Campbell River is a haven for outdoor adventure and scenery. It’s located on the 50th parallel of northeastern Vancouver Island, BC, where wildlife and nature are aplenty. While this town isn’t as popular a destination as Victoria or Tofino, it boasts world-class experiences you can’t miss.
Campbell River earned its place on the map for its excellent recreational fishing thanks to writer and conservationist Roderick Haig-Brown. Now, outdoors lovers flock to the coastal town for hiking, kayaking, and of course, fishing. It’s the third-largest city on Vancouver Island with a growing population of all ages. It’s considered a hub of the North Island, servicing over 60,000 people living in surrounding island communities.
While the outdoors really flourish, Campbell River attractions don’t stop at sports fishing. The city has a rich First Nations culture with fantastic carvings, artwork, and tours. There are also great restaurants, charming shops, and gorgeous rugged beaches.
