Grecia was not as expected from literature I read because of it's size and amount of traffic. The main down town area was very busy with bad sidewalks which made walking the town difficult. Lovely cathedral and park and great restaurants. Local people were friendly and helpful. We ate at Los Barriles twice because the food was so delicious and very reasonably priced. La Terraza Bed & Breakfast was the nicest hotel we stayed at in the Grecia area.Miriam - Scored 1010

Grecia is a busy town with a lovely relaxed friendly vibe and a great little park in front of the church with plenty of seating to sit and relax and take in the ambience. It is very clean. Grecia has a busy market and some great places to eat.

Grecia is a small town in an agricultural area.
Grecia is a small town in an agricultural area. It is not really a tourist destination, but is a good example of a typical small town in Costa Rica. The church is unusual because it is made entirely of metal. The other places to visit in the town are the main square and the market. There are other places to visit in the surrounding area, such as coffee plantations, sugar cane plantations and the Poas Volcano.DorothyCanada

Breakfast was served, however we were cooked a delicious home cooked breakfast, one of the best we have had in Costa Rica. The room was large and clean with a large bathroom.
