The bay offers kilometres of fine sandy beaches, some of which are protected from the wind by the Formentor peninsula. Unlike other resorts in Mallorca, the coast is not fully developed with multi-storey hotel castles. Here you will find long sandy beaches lined with pine and palm trees, a splendid choice of cafés and restaurants, clothes shops, supermarkets and doctors. The old town of Pollença is about 6 km away. The town's landmarks are the 365 steps and the Calvario, at the top of which is the small baroque chapel from the 18th century. Each step symbolises a day of the year. Numerous cultural events and music festivals are held in the historic atmosphere of Pollença. IMPORTANT: A welcome basket is provided with every booking. Pollença is a beautiful town set at the north of the island in a valley, at about a forty five minute drive from the airport. It's a really charming and quiet place, set at a seven kilometres drive from the wonderful beaches of its own Port. Some of its points of interest are the Calvario steps, the Puig de Maria, the cala San Vicente, ect... It is also important to have in mind the wide range of restaurants and shops, specially around the lively main square and at the sea walk in the port. There is an hour drive to Palma and to other interesting places in the island.
