Come to Can Trona and enjoy The Garrotxa with your loved ones: pets, kids, couple, family and/or friends. Even with your teddy bear that is hidden in you baggage when you travel “alone”. You’ll have the entire place for your own, located in the middle of the Vall d’en Bas, where you can be amazed by the landscape and its natural environment; full of yellow flowers fields in the spring. In addition, throughout the Garrotxa there are countless activities for all kinds of people: concerts, exhibitions, excursions, riding and a lot of other things. Volcanoes, stream pools, waterfalls, farms, historical towns and meals to lick your fingers are waiting for you. Ah! For the little ones, the house has a cradle, a baby safety gate at the top of the stairs and games; so they can enjoy the house with security and comfort. We want our home to be part of your story.

We are Aitor and Pamela (the one in the photo), a couple who went to live in La Garrotxa in love with their surroundings. Little by little we made Can Trona (as we call our home) a cozy abode. Currently, we cannot make so much use of the house, and after thinking about it several times, we finally decided to open the doors of our home to anyone who wants to spend a few days in La Garrotxa and enjoy this incredible environment. Can Trona is a small neighborhood of Joanetes, located in the middle of the Vall d'en Bas, in Garrotxa. it is located at the foot of Puigsacalm and on the threshold of the natural park of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone; the best exponent of volcanic landscape of the Iberian Peninsula. The park has about forty volcanic cones and its orography, soil and climate provide a varied vegetation, often exuberant, with holm oaks, oak groves and beech forests of exceptional landscape value. It can be reached by own vehicle. The nearest long-distance public transport bus stop to/from Olot, Girona, Vic or Barcelona is a 20-minute walk away (in Can Serra). Although, also walk away two minutes, there is a bus stop on demand that allows you to visit the villages of the valley and get to Olot (bus station or regional hospital). It is an ideal place to move by bicycle, since a 5-minute from the house is the Ruta del Carrilet, a greenway that goes from Olot, crossing the valley, to Girona; practically flat. Bicycles can be stored in the yard of the house.
